Pair of carved, gilded, and painted wood sculptures – Moors holding vases. Venice, 18th century.

Made entirely of carved, lacquered, gilded, and painted wood. They depict two Moors with golden hair, their arms raised, carrying two vase-supporting brackets. Rectangular bases are surmounted by small cylindrical columns with acanthus leaf decorations.
