Description
Polychrome porcelain group. German manufacture, late 19th century.
Figural porcelain group depicting a gallant scene with three characters: a seated lute player, a gentleman in amaranth coat, and a lady in a floral dress, arranged on a grassy base with applied flowers. The painted decoration is carefully executed in the detail of the costumes, the flesh tones, and the gilded accents. The group reflects the models of the Meissen manufactory, recalling its figurative style and chromatic richness typical of eighteenth-century production.
Condition report: Generally in good condition, with restored areas on the base and on the gentleman’s leg.
