Oil on canvas, in gilt wood frame.
The painting depicts a seated female nude rendered in a warm palette of ochre and pink flesh tones. The model, dark-haired and wearing a pearl necklace, is shown in a composed pose with her gaze lowered. The background is dominated by a deep crimson drapery, which creates a chromatic contrast with the white linen beneath the figure. The fluid brushwork and handling of light recall the French academic tradition of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with a sensibility close to the Montparnasse milieu.
