To the left, the Virgin witnesses the scene with joined hands, while a kneeling female figure kisses his feet. The composition unfolds against a rocky background with a cloudy sky, following a well-established model in Italian 17th-century devotional painting, with evident Flemish influence in the rendering of the flesh tones and the colouring of the garments.<\/p>\n<p>Condition report: Relined canvas.
