His interior scenes, conversations, visits, card games and amorous encounters, unfold in bourgeois or aristocratic settings, populated by elegantly dressed or masked figures.<br \/>\nThe scene shows a lady seated at the centre, fan in hand, receiving the visit of several figures, some wearing the characteristic Venetian\u00a0<em>bauta<\/em>\u00a0mask, in an interior with a canopied bed in the background. Longhi&#8217;s workshop replicated the master&#8217;s compositions with variants to meet the widespread collecting demand of eighteenth-century Venice.<\/p>\n<p>Condition report: Relined canvas.
