In the background, an architectural setting with columns and a twilight sky lends depth to the composition. The work belongs to the tradition of late 17th-century Neapolitan still life painting, characterised by warm tones, strong chiaroscuro contrasts and careful attention to surface textures.<\/p>\n<p>Condition report: Relined canvas.
