Numerous figures animate the square, recalling the typical repertoire of Guardi-style staffage. The intense palette, played out in tones of green and blue, and the synthetic rendering of the architecture place the work within the tradition of nineteenth-century Venetian vedutismo, heir to the great eighteenth-century season of Canaletto and Guardi, reproposed in smaller formats intended for the travel-souvenir market.<\/p>\n<p>Condition report: Lined canvas.
