Description
Pair of amaranth-veneered bedside tables with marble tops. Sicily, late 18th – early 19th century.
Entirely veneered in amaranth with a herringbone-pattern arrangement. Open compartment with intermediate shelf, grey veined marble top. Tapering square-section legs with turned baluster collars and spade feet. Original brass handles. Typical of Palermo cabinetmaking tradition.
