Description
Carved and gilded wood mirror. Venice, second half of the 18th century.
Carved and gilded wood mirror with a rectangular frame and openwork friezes on the sides and base, enlivened by rocaille-style leafy scrolls and curlicues. The cymatium is centered by an oval medallion with a mirror flanked by floral clusters, an element marking the transition to the Louis XVI style. This is an antique mirror, probably not contemporary.
