Description
European painter (19th–20th century) – Still Life with Flowers.
Oil on canvas, in a period carved and gilded wooden frame.
The painting depicts a bouquet of red-orange flowers arranged in a cylindrical green ceramic vase, set against a background painted to imitate the texture of canvas. The composition, in a naturalistic style, follows the tradition of late 19th-century floral still lifes, with a meticulous rendering of the petals and foliage. The reverse of the canvas bears a stamp from a London supplier, suggesting that the work likely originated in Britain.
Condition report: Original canvas. The painted surface is in good condition.
