Pair of coffee pots entirely in painted and gilt porcelain, with an ovoid body, a pronounced spout and a scroll handle. The decoration, in Louis XVI taste, unfolds on a white ground with polychrome sprays of roses, carnations and wildflowers, alternating with gilt scrolling foliage. The domed lid, surmounted by a knob, and the foot are bordered with gilt fillets on a green band. The two coffee pots, of different sizes, were likely intended for different uses, following a late eighteenth-century custom that continued into the early decades of the nineteenth.
Condition report: some wear to the gilding, small losses and restorations, consistent with the age and use of the object.
