The scene depicts a group of popular figures gathered on a rocky spur in a wooded landscape: a guitar player, a standing woman holding a tambourine, and other seated or reclining figures animate the composition with vitality. The deep greenish background, fluid brushwork, and vivid red and white accents in the clothing are characteristic of the Venetian genre painting tradition of the 18th century.
Condition report: Good state of conservation of the pictorial surface, with signs of wear and traces of old restorations. A reinforcing batten is present on the reverse.
